Ludwig van Beethoven: String Quartet No. 15 in A minor, Op. 132

  1. Assai sostenuto – Allegro
2. Allegro ma non tanto
3. Molto adagio – Andante
4. Alla marcia, assai vivace (attacca)
5. Allegro appassionato

Come and hear an extraordinary late work by Beethoven, performed in an intimate and acoustically pleasing environment. Beethoven’s String Quartet Opus 132 is one of his most profound and deeply spiritual works and is not often performed live. He dedicated the slow movement to thanking God for his recovery from a life threatening illness. Come hear this life affirming music, full of vigorous spirit and gratitude.

Featuring

Maria Schleuning, violin
Kristin van Cleve, violin
Matthew Sinno, viola
Gayane Manasjan Fullford, cello
